Eligibility:
Participation in the 2009 MELS Atwater International is open to members of any National Association recognized by the B.W.F. and any players who are members in good standing with Badminton Canada’s recognized member associations. To enter, National Associations should list their players according to national ranking on the entry form. Canadian entries are accepted on an individual basis. The 2009 MELS Atwater International will be conducted under the oficial rules of the B.W.F. In the event of disputes, the decision of the tournament referee will be final.
Scoring:
Best of three games to 21 points – rally in all events.

Entry Fee: $100.00 CDN Payments on-line by credit card only.

Entry deadline: Monday, April 7th, 2009. Late entries will not be accepted.

A maximum of entrants will be allowed in each event. Qualifying rounds will be played if required on Monday, April 27th and Tuesday, April 28th starting at 9:00 a.m. (MS: 32, LS: 24, MD & LD: 20, MXD:24)

Transportation:
Transportation will not be provided for arrival and departure from the airport. However, each player/coach will receive a $15.00 subsidy upon arrival and presentation of taxi receipt at the registration desk. The host hotel and the Atwater Club are within walking distance of each other.

Clothing:
Competitors are advised that clothing and advertising contained therein must conform to BWF regulations World Grand Prix events.
Shuttles:
The official shuttlecock of the 2009 MELS Atwater International is the Yonex Aerosensa 50 (supplied).
BWF Grade:
Badminton World Federation graded “International Challenge” competition.
Practice Times:
Practice times in the facility will be available on Monday, April 27th and Tuesday, April 28th, time permitting. Please reserve by contacting Brendon Morgan at the Atwater Club. BMorgan@clubatwater.ca
Registration:
Registration will take place at the Atwater Club on Tuesday, April 28th from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday, April 29th from 9:00 AM to noon.
Food & Beverage:
Food and beverage service will be available at the Atwater Club. A detailed schedule of food and beverage will be available on site.
